Summer Peach!

-American Apparel Summer Peach
-American Apparel L'Esprit

I recently got two of American Apparel's new shades! Summer Peach and L'Esprit. I LOVE them both so much! Next to summer peach L'Esprit looks a little darker than it actually is. They're both such great shades and so great for summer!

-Hot Topic Green/Blue Duochrome polish (no name, but it's similar to Black Pearl by Savina)
-Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure
-China Glaze Wireless holographic topcoat

So.. funny story about Hidden Treasure. I had been seeing swatches of this everywhere and I completely fell IN LOVE with it. I saw that people were having the most luck at Walgreen's but had heard that it was still pretty hard to find. I literally looked all over town and went to at least 5 Walgreen's before I finally found it! There were a few places that had the display that only holds TWO hidden treasures but they were already gone. One of the employees told me that supposedly since the collection is new, they only got two of each of the complete salon manicure colors. CRAZY! But I'm glad I got my hands on one! Big flakes reflecting green, red and yellow. I couldn't resist! So beautiful :) Love the combo of these polishes. I also wore Hidden Treasure over Hunter by American Apparel which looked great! I'll probably be using this polish a lot :D
If you happen to see one of these polishes you should pick one up because I'm not positive if the whole collection will be permanent?

Sun Worshiper

-China Glaze Sun Worshiper

So these pictures really don't do the color justice at all. It is so neon, it really is a task to avoid looking at your nails :p If you haven't looked at the China Glaze Poolside collection, you really should! All of the shades are awesome and perfect for summer. I used 3 coats here but I will probably use a white base next time and see how that works.

-China Glaze Millennium (ONE COAT!)

This color is AMAZING and is probably one of my favorite polishes ever. It came out with the Khrome collection in September or October of 2009 I believe? Enjoy!

-Zoya Raven
-Hot Topic blue glitter

So last week when I went to hot topic to get the final pieces for my Gaga outfit, I was a little intrigued by their nail polishes! All the colors are very bright and bold, so I thought I'd just buy one to try it out. But then the cashier told me that select colors were on sale for 99cents! So.. I got 5! I've swatched some of the other colors and they are actually pretty nice! I just get a little bothered when polishes don't have names because I don't know what to call them.. Hence, "blue glitter" :P The formula is a little thin so I'd imagine a few coats will be needed for the other polishes. Not this glitter though! Two coats Raven, and one coat of the blue glitter. The super fine blue glitter in Raven probably added to the effect a bit so I'd imagine I might use 2 coats of the glitter over any other black.

Birthday! :D

-China Glaze White on White
-China Glaze Something Sweet
-China Glaze For Audrey
-China Glaze Lemon Fizz
-Illamasqua Milf

I've always wanted to do nails with sprinkles so I though my birthday was the perfect time! They didn't come out as great as I hoped and they look better in person BUT here they are regardless! Yesterday was my 19th birthday and it was such a good day! I went out to dinner with my parents and my best friend at an Asian fusion restaurant called Straits in Santana Row. It was so good! And after we went over to Kara's for a cupcake of course! And tonight, my birthday celebration continues with a small dinner with my family and a few close friends. Should be a blast! :)

Chad and I on our way to dinner last night! :D

Just Dance

-Essie Tart Deco
-Konad Plate m57

I went to a Gaga party this weekend! I decided if I was going to a party themed after my BIGGEST inspiration in life, I'd go all out! So I did these nails that she had in the Just Dance music video! :D
Also got some great polishes in the mail including some of the China Glaze Poolside collection! Very excited to use them!

She's a Star

-MAC Phosphor
-American Apparel Mount Royal

MAC Phosphor is probably one of my greatest polish blessings. (Thanks to my best friend who gave it to me!) The true color is represented best in top flash picture. These were Rachel Berry inspired with her signature gold star! ;) Who else loves Glee and watched the amazing Power of Madonna episode this week?!

-Claire's Mood Calm/Wild

The top picture shows them normal, and the bottom picture is after being dipped in cold water! I love the super fine glitter in this polish :)

-Claire's Mood Peaceful/Confident
-China Glaze Fairy Dust

Love this pairing! :) You can't really see the color changing from the photos and I think somewhere between the coats of fairy dust and the top coat, it lost it's full effect. BUT the color is super cute! I got the other two polishes that I was missing from the Mood collection so be expecting swatches of a few of the others soon :p
Also, I finally bought Seche Vite dry fast top coat and it's awesome! I'm very impressed.

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

So this week I got to stop by Claire's and get some of their Mood polishes! I had seen swatches on a few other blogs and thought they were awesome! They change color with heat and have a very nice effect on medium, to longer length nails. They were even better in person than I had imagined! Unfortunately I'm missing Calm/Wild (purple and pink) and Fabulous/Funky (pink and fuchsia). I used my favorite of the bunch (Happy/Earthy) to do my current mani! :)

-Claire's Mood Happy/Earthy
-Konad Black
-China Glaze Devotion
-Konad Plate m51

I wish I would've swatched the Mood polish by itself so you can see the full effect on it's own but I just got too excited and jumped right into the st amping! :/ But I think you can still see the difference in color, especially if you enlarge the first picture! :)

-China Glaze White on White
-China Glaze OMG
-China Glaze 2NITE
-China Glaze BFF

I have been dying for this collection for months now and I finally found a new nail kiosk in my mall that carries old collections! China Glaze OMG collection are the most gorgeous holographic polishes I've ever seen. I only have these three for now, but I plan on getting more of this collection! I used White on White as a base, then marbled the three colors together! Lovin these cotton candy looking nails!

OH and also, I sliced off my left pinky fingernail today while cutting cheese :( and my right middle finger is so short right now too. I'm so clumsy sometimes! But hopefully they'll start growing and become even with their eight other buddies soon enough.

First Konad :D

-Sephora by OPI Leaf Him At the Altar
-Konad Plate m51

I finally have Konad! :D I got it as an early birthday present from my best friends and I'm so excited about it! I got 4 image plates and 4 of the special polishes! I was really nervous they were going to be so hard to use but it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it! I can't wait to show you all my other new plates!

Welcome to my new followers! I am now on twitter at , so follow me! :) Can't wait to start posting more often for you guys.

Art Supplies

-MAC Pro Longwear Lipstain Marker in Stylesetter
Art Supplies (April 2010)

My first makeup post! :) I'm IN LOVE! These new lipstains come in the form of a marker with a felt tip. I was so amazed at how well it stayed on! I had it on for about 9 hours and only reapplied once! (It was after eating, and honestly, I didn't even need it! :p) They are pretty sheer but it layers very well if you want more color. I have my eye on Runway Ripened and Purposefully Red also! They're all such gorgeous colors, I need them all! ;)

Lubu Medallions!

-China Glaze Lubu Heels
-China Glaze Medallion

Started off with two coats Lubu Heels (tried to swatch the color but it was so hard to capture the actual color on camera) and ONE coat of Medallion. I've had my eye on Lubu for so long and finally got a chance to pick it up! It's a gorgeous black with loads of super fine ruby glitter. And I found Medallion marked down in the clearance section at Sally's and had to get it. It's so gold and glittery and just perfect! After using them I'm honestly favoring Medallion! I'm a sucker for immensely glittery polishes :p I've gotten tons of other polishes since my last post I've just been so behind.. But there's probably no need to apologize because it's not like I have very many followers anyways :/ Okay.. enough complaining! I'll be posting lots more soon, I promise!

Oh! And I'm so excited for POOLSIDE to come out tomorrow :D

Wednesday, March 17, 2010

-China Glaze White on White (base)
-American Apparel Hassid (heads and black eyes)
-China Glaze For Audrey (blue eyes)
-Sephora by OPI Leaf Him at the Alter (green eyes)
-American Apparel Manila (beaks)
-American Apparel Coney Island (cheeks)

Well I'm not really sure what inspired me to do this but I just love penguins and thought they might be cute on my nails! I made the heads different sizes on purpose just so they all look unique. And you can't tell much from the picture but some of them have cute pinky cheeks! I'm not very great at free hand designs but.. I'll get better :D

Blue India

MAC Blue India (two coats)
Give Me Liberty Of London collection

I'm usually not that into blue polishes in general but this is such a gorgeous blue grey color, I had to pick it up :)

(no flash)

MAC Blue India
Illamasqua Harsh

And of course I had to add a little something to it! Glitter of course ;D

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

-China Glaze Devotion
-Illamasqua Harsh
-Zoya Suvi

One coat of Devotion (metallic silver color), one coat Harsh (silver glitter) and two coats of Suvi (emerald green). My first ruffian manicure! I like the overall outcome but the glitter underneath the green is a little distracting because it looks bubbley :/ I'll probably try using a matte color as the final coat next time! :)
