-Hot Topic Green/Blue Duochrome polish (no name, but it's similar to Black Pearl by Savina)
-Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure
-China Glaze Wireless holographic topcoat
So.. funny story about Hidden Treasure. I had been seeing swatches of this everywhere and I completely fell IN LOVE with it. I saw that people were having the most luck at Walgreen's but had heard that it was still pretty hard to find. I literally looked all over town and went to at least 5 Walgreen's before I finally found it! There were a few places that had the display that only holds TWO hidden treasures but they were already gone. One of the employees told me that supposedly since the collection is new, they only got two of each of the complete salon manicure colors. CRAZY! But I'm glad I got my hands on one! Big flakes reflecting green, red and yellow. I couldn't resist! So beautiful :) Love the combo of these polishes. I also wore Hidden Treasure over Hunter by American Apparel which looked great! I'll probably be using this polish a lot :D
If you happen to see one of these polishes you should pick one up because I'm not positive if the whole collection will be permanent?
So these pictures really don't do the color justice at all. It is so neon, it really is a task to avoid looking at your nails :p If you haven't looked at the China Glaze Poolside collection, you really should! All of the shades are awesome and perfect for summer. I used 3 coats here but I will probably use a white base next time and see how that works.
So last week when I went to hot topic to get the final pieces for my Gaga outfit, I was a little intrigued by their nail polishes! All the colors are very bright and bold, so I thought I'd just buy one to try it out. But then the cashier told me that select colors were on sale for 99cents! So.. I got 5! I've swatched some of the other colors and they are actually pretty nice! I just get a little bothered when polishes don't have names because I don't know what to call them.. Hence, "blue glitter" :P The formula is a little thin so I'd imagine a few coats will be needed for the other polishes. Not this glitter though! Two coats Raven, and one coat of the blue glitter. The super fine blue glitter in Raven probably added to the effect a bit so I'd imagine I might use 2 coats of the glitter over any other black.
Well hello there, welcome to my blog! I started this mainly to share my love for nail polish, but I am also very obsessed with makeup. So I'm sure I'll find myself blogging about that too! I am not the most educated person in the world of cosmetics so at first I was a little hesitant to even start this blog. But then I thought about it and I realized that everyone has to start somewhere! I just hope to learn and experiment and share my ideas with others! I look forward to seeing how this blog evolves because I've never done anything like this before. Thanks for stopping by, Enjoy! :)
